Bridal Preparations at Barn at Brynich
The morning began with a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere as Fay spent the morning getting ready with her closest family and friends.
There was no rushing around. Just excitement, laughter and plenty of emotional moments as everyone prepared for the day ahead.
Meanwhile, Haydn was getting ready nearby, equally excited to finally marry the love of his life.

The True VIP Guest... Basil!
Every wedding has someone who steals the show.
For Fay and Haydn, that honour belonged to Basil.
Their beautiful dog played such an important role throughout the day and was involved in so many wonderful moments. Seeing couples include their dogs always makes a wedding feel even more personal, and Basil certainly brought smiles to everyone's faces.

The ceremony was full of heartfelt emotion, laughter and happy tears before everyone gathered outside to celebrate the newlyweds.
One of the things I love most about photographing weddings at Barn at Brynich is how beautifully the surrounding countryside blends into every part of the day.
Every direction offers another stunning backdrop. After the ceremony, we got some confetti shots and one big group photo outside the stunning venue!

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a relaxed wedding breakfast while I captured natural documentary moments between family and friends.
One of the biggest compliments couples often give me is that they hardly noticed I was there, allowing everyone to simply enjoy the day without feeling like they were constantly being photographed.
Later, we headed outside for a relaxed portrait session around the venue.
Rather than creating lots of posed photographs, Fay and Haydn simply enjoyed spending time together, walking through the grounds, laughing together and taking in the moment.
These authentic interactions are what relaxed wedding photography is all about.
Cake Cutting, First Dance & Evening Portraits
As the evening celebrations began, everyone gathered for the cake cutting before filling the dance floor for the first dance.
The atmosphere throughout the evening was incredibly warm and welcoming, with guests celebrating long into the evening.

Adventure Wedding Photography at Pen y Fan

Fay and Haydn's story had another chapter waiting.
The following day, it was the beginning of one of the most memorable adventure sessions I've photographed.
Wearing their wedding outfits once again, we hiked to the summit of Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales.

The mountain landscape, combined with the ever-changing skies, created some of the most breathtaking wedding portraits imaginable.

As we made our way back down the mountain, we stopped whenever the scenery inspired us.
Some of my favourite photographs weren't carefully posed at all. They were simply Fay and Haydn walking hand in hand, laughing together and enjoying every second of the experience.
One of the things that made the adventure even more special was the incredible atmosphere created by everyone we met along the way. As we hiked in their wedding attire, fellow walkers and hikers couldn't help but stop to congratulate the newlyweds. There were smiles, cheers and plenty of kind words from complete strangers, making the experience feel even more memorable. It was such a lovely reminder of how weddings have a way of bringing people together, even on the side of a mountain.
Those genuine, unscripted moments are what storytelling wedding photography is all about, capturing not just the beautiful scenery, but the emotion, excitement and unforgettable memories shared throughout the journey.
Finishing Our Adventure Beside a Welsh Waterfall
To complete the adventure, we stopped beside one of the beautiful waterfalls hidden within the Brecon Beacons.
After the dramatic mountain views, the peaceful sounds of flowing water created the perfect ending to an unforgettable weekend.
It was the ideal location for a final collection of relaxed portraits before bringing an incredible two-day wedding story to a close.

After capturing our final photographs by the waterfall, it was finally time to say our goodbyes.
Before heading home, we couldn't leave without taking one last photo together. A quick selfie to remember an unforgettable two-day adventure. Looking back, it perfectly summed up the weekend: plenty of laughter, incredible scenery, a little bit of wind, and so many wonderful memories.
From a relaxed wedding day at Barn at Brynich, celebrating alongside their family, friends and their beloved dog Basil, to hiking Pen y Fan in wedding attire the very next day, Fay and Haydn created a wedding experience that was completely their own.
