Do you have questions for a Birmingham Wedding Photographer? The below are the most common ones couples ask me before booking. Whether you’re planning in Birmingham, West Midlands or anywhere in the UK, this FAQ covers everything from pricing and packages to travel and booking details.

Kelvin Tung Wedding Photography FAQ

Once you’ve decided on a date, just get in touch through the contact form or by email. I’ll check my availability and we can arrange a chat to discuss your day and the kind of photography you want. If you are interested in booking with me, I will email over a contract for you to sign and you pay a deposit to secure your date. Please note that each of my package have different deposit. The remaining balance is due one month before your wedding.

How far in advance should we book you?

If possible, between 12–18 months before your wedding, especially for popular venues. Early booking ensures your date is available and it prepare us in advance to plan your day together.

Now do bear in mind, each wedding photographer charges how they like and that is perfectly fine. Wedding photography prices in the West Midlands can vary depending on experience, coverage, and what’s included. Most professional wedding photographers price their work based on the time involved before, during, and after the wedding, including planning, shooting, and careful editing — not just the hours on the day.

I have done a lot of market research on setting my prices and I can come to conclusion that my pricing is in line with the UK average and reflects the time, experience, and quality that go into delivering a consistent, professional service. I’m always happy to chat through options based on your wedding plans and what’s most important to you.

Do you travel for weddings outside Birmingham?

Yes! I’m happy to travel across the West Midlands, and other places in the UK. Please note that travel fees may apply for destinations further afield.

How long will it take to receive our wedding photos?

Depending on the season, on average your gallery is usually delivered within 6–8 weeks. In peak period (during the summer), it can be up to 12 weeks. I will always let you know if there’s any delay.

Are you insured?

Yes I am. And I can provide you and your venue with a copy of my public liability insurance upon request.

Can we meet before booking?

Yes — you’re more than welcome to meet or chat before booking.
I know choosing a photographer is a big decision, and it’s important that you feel comfortable with the person you’re inviting to capture your wedding day. We can meet in person if you are local to me, have a video call, or just talk on the phone — whatever works best for you — to go through your ideas and make sure we’re a great fit before you book.

Why have you increased your price?

While my photography business have grown, but my price increment also reflects on my experience, time, and quality that go into every wedding. I invest in professional equipment, backup systems, ongoing education, and the marketing required to run a reliable, professional business. A significant amount of time is also spent carefully editing each image so your final gallery looks natural, timeless, and true to your wedding day.

Do you offer custom wedding photography packages?

Absolutely!— if you don’t see a package that quite fits your wedding day, I’m more than happy to create a custom package for you. Every wedding is different, so I’m always open to tailoring coverage based on your plans, timeline, and what’s most important to you. Just get in touch and we can chat through your ideas to find something that works perfectly for your day.

What happens if I can’t make it?

In the very unlikely event that I’m unable to attend your wedding due to serious illness or an emergency, I have a trusted network of professional wedding photographers I can call upon. I would arrange for a photographer of a similar style and experience to cover your day, and I would still handle the editing and delivery of your images.

This situation has never happened, but having a clear backup plan in place means you can feel completely confident that your wedding will still be documented with care.
